Foreign students attended an evening of Ossetian music and song



On May 11th, first-year students of the SPbU Philological Faculty and listeners of the Center of Additional Educational Programs in the field of Russian as a Foreign Language at SPbU visited an evening of Ossetian music and dance, which took place at the Drama Theater named after Countess S.V. Panina.
In the first part of the evening, the National State Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania named after B. Gazdanov performed for the audience. Classic Ossetian melodies were played, along with songs from the wartime era performed by People's Artist of the RSO-Alania E. Daurov and soloist of the Bolshoi Theater D. Dulaev. In the second part of the concert, dances of the peoples of the Caucasus were presented: Ossetian, Kabardian, Azerbaijani, and Dagestani.
The students greatly enjoyed the evening. They learned a lot about the culture of the peoples of Russia.
