Winter School of Russian as a Foreign Language

 

Winter School is an excellent opportunity to improve your knowledge of Russian and spend unforgettable vacations in St. Petersburg.

You will not only study Russian, but also learn, where Father Frost lives and who Snegurochka is, tell fortunes at Christmas night, get yourself familiar with the most beautiful places of the Russian North, solve riddles, and sing merry songs about the Russian winter.

The educational program includes:

  • master classes and comprehensive studies in the practical Russian language;
  • lessons-excursions in St. Petersburg and the cities of Russia;
  • introduction to the Russian classical ballet;
  • communication with native Russian speakers.

The program is aimed at foreign students as part of organized groups of 10 people or more. Groups are formed in accordance with a language level.

  • Russian history and traditions;
  • weather and climate of Russia;
  • legends of winter St. Petersburg;
  • state and national winter holidays;
  • fairy tales about winter;
  • winter sports.

The program involves the use of active and interactive forms of practical classes:

  • role-playing game;
  • flipped classroom;
  • mini-projects with using multi-media equipment;
  • communication with native Russian speakers is included.

Upon completion of the course, trainees will:

  • be able to maintain a conversation in Russian;
  • frame and ask questions;
  • gain knowledge of the life of Russia, its history and traditions;
  • take walks around St. Petersburg and the most beautiful parts of Russia.

I'm Liu Gangshan (Лю Ганшань). I have now returned to China, February 10th is the Chinese New Year, I have returned to my hometown to celebrate the Spring Festival with my family. First of all, thank you very much for taking care of us in Russia and teaching us Russian, although I find it very difficult and I can't speak it fluently. But it also gave me a lot of inspiration and realized the charm of Russian.
At the same time, I also enjoyed the cultural heritage of Russia, and deeply fell in love with this city - St. Petersburg. Программа прекрасная! Восхищаюсь высочайшим профессионализмом преподавателей, которые за две недели так много дали студентам. Ребята не только вспомнили грамматику, пополнили свой словарный запас, получили интенсивную разговорную практику, но и узнали столько интересного о русской культуре: о праздниках, традициях, сказках. Отличные визуальные материалы помогли ребятам все лучше понять и усвоить. А после занятий мы наслаждались захватывающими рассказами экскурсоводов. Экскурсии необычайно познавательные и красивые! А еще до глубины души тронуло теплое, сердечное, бережное отношение преподавателей и экскурсоводов к студентам. От всего сердца благодарю всех создателей программы.

Сначала я беспокоилась о моём русском языке, но я получила много знаний о России, которые я не могла узнать из самообразования. Преподаватели были очень дружелюбные. Они часто задавали нам студентам вопросы и мы думали и отвечали в сотрудничестве друг с другом. На экскурсии экскурсоводы показали нам города, музеи, ёлку и так далее. Мы тоже играли в загадки и сделали снеговика или снежинки. Я невольно забывала, что я была в Японии, потому что Зимняя школа была очень прекрасной!
