"Songs of our Fathers" in the concert hall of the Mariinsky Theatre

On May 7, students of the Center of Additional Educational Programs in Russian as a Foreign Language at St Petersburg University with their teacher Irina Alexandrovna Ustinova attended the musical performance "Songs of our Fathers" in the concert hall of the Mariinsky Theatre.

The program of the theater was timed to coincide with the Great Victory Day, it included not only works of the 1940s but also later works. The well-known songs "Smuglyanka", "Pervym delom-samoleoty" (First of all - planes), "Pora v put` -dorogu" (It's time to go) , "Zdi menya" (Wait for me), "Zhuravli" (Crane birds), "Sluchainy wals" (Random Waltz) and many others were performed.

Our students are always interested in the cultural life of the city, because learning Russian as a Foreign Language is directly connected with the history of our country and its traditions.
