Russian as a Foreign Language for Mathematicians

The program is designed for the foreigners preparing for teaching mathematical disciplines and future specialists in the sphere of Mathematics. It is aimed at the beginners who learn the Russian language, as well as those who would like to improve their level.

The main feature of this program is practical orientation. The program was developed for those who are planning to teach, so its main objective is not only to teach trainees how to communicate in everyday life, but also develop their speech skills in the professional sphere.

The program includes 5 modules: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 – and provides practical classes in Russian, either of an integrated or aspect- oriented type, and covers such aspects, as "Grammar. Vocabulary", "Reading", "Writing", "Speaking", "Listening", and "Scientific Style of Speech". Interactive forms of classes are used: instructed actions, role-playing games, etc. Beyond that, the program has been designed taking into account the trainees' professional needs. According to the results of the placement test, a trainee is recommended the module that is the most appropriate for his level of language proficiency.
