At the present stage of education and science development the active use of testing as a form of control is not only justified, but is also the most in-demand.
Nowadays the interest in learning Russian for educational, scientific, business, and commercial purposes, in order to improve the quality of communication in Russian for the conduct of labor activity, has become more conscious. Distance learning environments provide a lot of opportunities for self-tuition of the language. In this context the control system plays the most important role: it is the methodological tool that allows structuring training, identifying the gaps in students’ knowledge and skills, and – most importantly – determining their level of communicative competence. Undoubtedly, to conduct control in the RFL testing system the experienced professionals who have knowledge of the theory and practice of the examination control are required.
"The Tester’s Skills Improvement in the TORFL System: Theory, Practice of Conducting Tests, Preparation for Testing, and Testing in Teaching Russian to Migrants" is a program designed for practicing testers and teachers who are already well acquainted with the RFL testing system, but would like to improve their knowledge in the field of analysis and development of criteria for assessing the speech product, studying and assessing the tester’s speech behavior from the perspective of psychological, didactic, and methodological rules.
The main idea of the program is to enable professionals to improve their skills in the field of testing in Russian as a foreign and non-native language, so that professional testers and teachers can demonstrate their ability to conduct tests at the highest methodological level in all the areas of their professional activities – lecture courses, practical classes, seminars, and lessons.
